About Us

Established in 2014, Project LIVE is a cross-disciplinary initiative at the University of South Australia focused on creating virtual and augmented reality experiences that bridge the research-teaching nexus.

Learning through Immersive

Virtual Environments

Our team uses a range of tools to bring Project LIVE to life, including Remotely Piloted Aircraft (drone) surveying, 3D photogrammetry, gigapixel photography, terrestrial laser scanning (LiDAR), 360-degree panoramic photos and videos, virtual reality (VR) headsets, and location-based mobile learning games.

Keep up to date with our latest work and community events by following Project LIVE on Twitter @LIVE_UniSA. And if you’d like to discuss how we can bring your ideas to (virtual) reality, please get in touch via our Contact Form.

Our Facilities

Our Facilities

The UniSA Mawson Lakes Campus features two dedicated student lab spaces for displaying and interacting with immersive visualisations: our Panorama Room that houses a 180-degree multi-projector panoramic display, and our VR Studio that houses a bank of virtual reality workstations and headsets. Both spaces are used in our teaching programs and are available for workshops and tours.

Please enquire via our Contact Form.
